Fresh Kicks- Classic Hoops shoes

So C-man is starting his second basketball season and needed some new kicks for his game. He is in the first grade and has no shoes for basketball. You would not imagine how difficult it is finding kids basketball shoes in a store.

We went to Sports Authority and a few other stores. For one thing there wasn't much selection for kids. A lot of the basketball shoes available were Adidas that  were very ugly and did not look like they would hold up or work well for playing. They also had very few shoes under size 5-6.  C-Man was wearing a 13 or 1 in most shoes.

Finally we found some shoes at Kohl's including some Nikes. One pair of size 2s actually did not fit. Finally he found a pair he liked called Nike Layups. They are white/black/maize. They look pretty good with his uniform and he likes the was they fit.

Best of all, they were only 40 bucks. That's still a lot of money when you don't have much but for a good quality basketball shoe that's a deal. Since they are in a little bigger size than he was weraing, I hope they at least last through the spring. It remains to be seen if the Nike Layup will have this 4' kid jumping out of the gym though.
